Trent Barnes

Trent is the Chief of Staff at Beacon Pointe Advisors, a nationally recognized registered investment advisory firm serving individuals, families, and institutions. In his role, Trent supports CEO Matt Cooper and the executive leadership team on strategic initiatives focused on the firm’s continued growth, operational efficiency, and advancement of its technology and data capabilities.

Prior to joining Beacon Pointe, Trent held strategic and operational leadership roles at Trinity Hunt Partners and Fanatics Collectibles. He previously worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group, advising organizations on transformation, strategic planning, and operational improvement, and began his career with the Dallas Stars Hockey Club.

Trent earned an MBA with a concentration in Strategy and Innovation from the University of Texas at Austin and bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Sports Management from Southern Methodist University. Passionate about helping people and organizations achieve their full potential, Trent lives in Dallas with his wife, Lauren. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with friends.
