Sarah Green is the Chief Compliance and Chief Risk Officer at Beacon Pointe Advisors, where she manages the firm’s risk governance program and regulatory and compliance strategy.  Sarah is an accomplished financial services, compliance, and legal executive with more than 20 years of experience leading regulatory, compliance, and risk management programs. At Vanguard, Sarah served as Principal and Global Head of Financial Crimes and Code of Conduct, overseeing enterprise-wide programs covering anti-money laundering, trade surveillance, ethics, and conflicts of interest. Her work has centered on developing practical, scalable compliance solutions, advising senior leaders, addressing regulatory and audit findings, and leading technology initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.

Before joining Vanguard, Sarah held senior leadership positions at FINRA, where she oversaw AML compliance, enforcement, and policy matters. Earlier in her career, she spent more than seven years at the SEC in examination and enforcement roles, including Bank Secrecy Act Specialist and Branch Chief. Sarah began her legal career practicing corporate and securities law.  She has represented the securities industry and regulators before the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Department of Justice, and numerous foreign governments.  She began her law practice at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath (f/k/a Gardner Carton & Douglas) in Washington, D.C. 

Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College and her J.D. from the William & Mary School of Law. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys running, playing tennis, and being outside with her dogs.  She lives with her husband and three children outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
