Mark Meier, CFP®, CIMA®

Mark Meier is a Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor for the Beacon Pointe Advisors Fort Atkinson office, bringing nearly 30 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate complex financial decisions. He specializes in developing customized investment portfolios and comprehensive financial plans designed to align clients’ wealth with their long-term financial, retirement, and life goals.

Mark began his career at one of the nation’s largest accounting firms, where he worked with high-net-worth individuals and executives from Fortune 500 companies on tax and financial planning strategies. During this time, he also conducted financial planning seminars for employees of many large corporations. He later served as the head of a trust department at a community bank, where he advised clients on investment management, financial planning, estate planning, and estate settlement matters. Mark subsequently returned to the accounting profession, joining the registered investment advisory division of a large regional accounting firm. In 1995, Mark founded R Meier, Inc., which later became R Meier Wealth Management. After decades of serving clients through his independent practice, the firm joined Beacon Pointe Advisors in 2026, expanding the resources and capabilities available to clients while maintaining the personalized service that has defined his approach throughout his career.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He holds both the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) designation and the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certification.

Outside of the office, Mark enjoys spending time in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where he pursues a variety of outdoor activities. He is also an avid traveler and enjoys riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and bicycling throughout southern Wisconsin. During the fall and winter months, Mark can often be found upland bird hunting with his Labrador retrievers, Perseus and Odysseus.
