Edward Samp, CFA®

Edward is a Senior Strategic Investment Advisor in the Beacon Pointe Waltham, MA office. He works closely with advisors to formulate, implement, and monitor investment strategies, bringing a detail-oriented, process-driven approach to portfolio management.

Edward joined Beacon Pointe in 2025 through its acquisition of Sensible Financial Planning, where he began his career in 2016 as an Investment Operations Specialist. He was promoted to Trader and Associate Portfolio Manager in 2022 and to Associate Portfolio Manager and Senior Trader in 2024. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment operations at U.S. Wealth Management.

Edward graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and minoring in Economics. He is an active member of the Boston Economic Club, CFA Society Boston, and Talk of the Town Toastmasters in Newton, MA.

Outside the office, Edward enjoys traveling, cycling, snowboarding, softball, playing the saxophone, Boggle, and Scrabble. He is also an avid listener of audiobooks and podcasts that explore the intersections of history, economics, sociology, and geopolitics. Edward is fascinated by humanity’s complexity, paradoxes, and contradictions and believes this richness makes life interesting.
