Several members from the Beacon Pointe team participated in the Southern California 2019 Fidelity Inside Track event held in Dana Point, California. Inside Track events are often held regionally to provide clients, prospects and industry professionals alike with the opportunity to network and develop their business.
This year Beacon Pointe had two team members selected to participate as panelists throughout the two-day long event. Our firm’s CEO, Shannon Eusey, was one of the first panelists to kick off the day and spoke in the general session regarding the “Advice Value Stack: Creating a Sustainable Business.” Shannon was able to touch upon the direction the financial services industry is headed, and what a thriving firm will look like down the road. A big part of the conversation was also centered around growth strategies and leveraging new technologies in order to evolve in an ever-changing industry landscape. Shannon participated on the panel with fellow industry leaders including Marty Bicknell of Mariner Wealth Advisors and Bob Oros of Hightower.
Later in the morning, Partner and Managing Director of Strategic and Financial Planning, Commie Stevens was featured on a panel that was focused on examining the intricacies of client relationships. The title of her panel was “Collect, Capture and Capitalize with Compassion on Client Data.” Commie spoke to the effectiveness of collecting key client information and utilizing that data to foster meaningful relationships that move beyond money management for clients. Her panel was facilitated by Anand Sekhar from Fidelity and she shared the stage with Jeff Paustian of JGP Wealth Management.
While Shannon and Commie presented during the day, several other Beacon Pointe team members dedicated to improving our firm’s strategic platform attended the conference to collaborate on idea generation, sit in on topical panels and cheer on their colleagues. Liz Mitchell and Amanda Gallaher of Beacon Pointe’s Operations Team, Alli Warner, Director of Marketing and Karisa Diephouse, Director of Strategic Integration were two members of the Beacon Pointe leadership team who were in attendance, representing our firm’s dedication to female empowerment and sharing with industry colleagues information about the Beacon Pointe Women’s Advisory Institute (WAI). WAI is committed to providing female clients and their families with navigating the world of finance and educating and engaging women to be financially empowered, a program that we hope will continue to serve as inspiration in the world of finance and push the industry to continue developing such important programs.
It was a day full of professional development, networking and tapping into conversations and actionable ideas to continue bettering ourselves as financial services professionals and our firm’s strategic platform of services dedicated to providing our clients with exceptional service. We are pleased to build upon the information and knowledge we received and are looking forward to next year!
