Recently, Beacon Pointe’s CEO, Shannon Eusey, and Director of Human Resources, Mollie Rosing, returned from a philanthropic trip to Guatemala through the Forever Changed International program to work with the children of Dorie’s Promise. Forever Changed – “Passionately Serving the World’s Forgotten Children” – is a program that allows people to help children through life-changing ministries. Their vision is to meet the needs of vulnerable children and provide a place for orphans to find a loving home. Dorie’s Promise Guatemala is their first orphanage.
While working with the program, Shannon, one of her daughters, as well as Mollie and one of her daughters teamed up with additional group members to meet and interact with the orphans of Dorie’s Promise while in Guatemala. They partook in community projects, activities and outings with the children– one to a chocolate-making class! – and witnessed the surrounding area in order to better understand the impact their hard work and generosity had in helping improve the life and community for the children. Shannon declared that, “spending a week with these children has been such a gift,” and from the community out-pour of love on social media, it seems like everyone who has taken the time to help build this amazing community of Forever Changed International feels the same.
Beacon Pointe proudly supports Shannon’s endeavors, and those of other Beacon Pointe employees, to make this world a better. Through Beacon Pointe’s ‘Paid Day of Service’ implemented in 2014, all Beacon Pointe employee receive an additional day of paid leave to volunteer for a 501(c)(3) organization of their choice.
We encourage all within our communities to get involved in giving back!
