We have been working with Don and Jon at Beacon Pointe for over two years, beginning with a recommendation from a trusted advisor at our brokerage. They have created a strong portfolio of mixed investment types that have performed well in this crazy volatility. Not only has the value gone up, despite distributions taken, it buffers against dropping markets as well. Yes it goes up and down with volatility, but the swings are slower and not as deep, which is what we wanted when we first discussed our needs in the early meetings. In addition our status is more complex in some ways in that we are full-time travelers. When we needed replacement ATM cards, our bank would only ship them to a US address. They arranged to receive the cards and FedEx them to our next hotel and send security codes via secure file transfer. That is just one way they have supported our lifestyle. There are many others.
