Paul Duncan is a Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor in the Beacon Pointe Carlsbad, CA office. With three decades of experience in the financial services industry, Paul leverages his vast knowledge and innovative approach to help people prepare for and transition into retirement. Paul is passionate about helping clients achieve their long-term planning goals and applies innovative tax planning methods, concentrating on opportunities to optimize his clients’ tax situations.

Paul earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, San Diego, and holds the Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) designation. In addition to his role as an advisor, Paul spearheads numerous charitable endeavors, including supporting the United Way and contributing both time and resources to the Ronald McDonald House, which provides families with accommodations, or a “home away from home,” while their children receive treatment at the Children’s Hospital.

Paul resides in San Clemente, CA, and has been actively involved in the community, having coached both of his sons’ South Coast Tritons football teams and serving on the Triton Board of Directors for seven years, including a two-year term as President. Outside of the office, Paul is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys scuba diving, fishing, and surfing. He is also a dedicated golfer, continually striving to improve his game and lower his handicap. A longtime football enthusiast, Paul was a devoted Chargers fan until the team relocated to Los Angeles and is now weighing a new allegiance with the Raiders’ Silver & Black.
