The Barron’s Top RIA (“registered investment advisory”) Firms award ranking is dedicated to recognizing elite firms across the country that demonstrate steady growth, both organically and through mergers and acquisitions of smaller RIA firms. Barron’s evaluation is based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria, including assets managed by the firms, technology spending, staff diversity, succession planning, and other valuable metrics. Additional subcategories are considered, including the type of asset, client retention, growth rate, philanthropic work, and more. Rankings produced by Barron’s are designed to be a baseline for clients searching for an advisor – helping investors narrow down their search to feel confident about their RIA firm selection.
Each year, the award has grown to include more and more firms in the list, starting with 20 top firms in 2016 and increasing year-over-year to reach 100 top firms in 2020, with over 13,000+ RIA firms across the country for Barron’s to select from. Barron’s Top 100 RIA Firms award ranking is dedicated to recognizing elite firms nationwide that demonstrate steady growth, both organically and through mergers and acquisitions of smaller RIA firms. Barron’s ‘Top 100 RIA Firms’
2024 – Out of 100 RIA firms, Beacon Pointe earned a No. 7 placement in the prestigious Barron’s ‘Top 100 RIA Firms’ nationwide listing. This is the eighth annual ranking put forth by Barron’s of independent advisory companies ranked by assets under management, firm growth, technology spending, succession planning, and other metrics. The Beacon Pointe team looks forward to further impacting the wealth advisory landscape in 2024 and beyond.

2023 – Out of 100 noteworthy firms in America, Beacon Pointe has been named as a ‘Top 15’ Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) by Barron’s. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Beacon Pointe has been recognized in the prestigious Barron’s listing.

2022 – Out of 100 noteworthy firms included in the Barron’s ‘Top 100 RIA Firm’ ranking, Beacon Pointe was named to No. 16 in the nation, having gained five positions from 2021.

2021 – Beacon Pointe secured spot 21 in Barron’s annual ‘Top 100 RIA Firms’ award ranking for 2021, having gained nine positions from the 2020 ranking.

2020 – Beacon Pointe was named to Spot 30 in Barron’s ‘Top 100 RIA Firms’ ranking.
In addition to being ranked among the Top 100 RIA firms in the nation, Beacon Pointe Chief Executive Officer, Shannon Eusey, was also included in Barron’s ‘Executive Class’ listing. The Top 100 RIA Firm Executives who graduated into their management roles after starting as ranked advisors are exclusively included in this list. Shannon was the only woman on the list, having spent four years as a financial advisor before founding Beacon Pointe Advisors in 2002.

2019 – Jumping up 16 spots from the prior year’s nationwide ‘Top 50 RIA Firms’ ranking, Beacon Pointe was named a Top 20 RIA Firm by Barron’s.

2018 – Barron’s included Beacon Pointe in their 2018 list of the ‘Top 40 RIA Firms.’ The award has jumped from recognizing 20 top firms in 2016, and 30 in 2017, to 40 in 2018 to make room for the “explosive growth” of firms.

In addition to firmwide recognition and inclusion in the Barron’s Top RIA Firms listings, Beacon Pointe advisors and other company leaders have also earned distinction in various independent rankings and award listings produced by Barron’s. Barron’s ‘Top 1,200 Financial Advisors’ (“Top Advisor Rankings by State”)
2018 – Out of 1,200 financial advisors, we celebrate Beacon Pointe CEO and founder, Shannon Eusey, for her recognition and representation of Beacon Pointe, earning a No. 19 placement in the Barron’s ‘Top 1,200 Financial Advisors’ ranking. The 2018 rankings are based on data provided by over 4,000 of the nation’s most productive advisors. One of the differentiators of this award in contrast to the Barron’s ‘Top 100 Independent Wealth Advisors’ is that this award is organized by state, and Shannon represents California in this award placement, where Beacon Pointe is headquartered.

2017 – Barron’s released their list of “America’s Best Advisors” for 2017, and Beacon Pointe CEO and founder, Shannon Eusey was highlighted as a No. 18 advisor out of 1,200 other noteworthy financial advisor professionals by Barron’s. Assets under management, revenue produced by the firm, regulatory record, quality of practices, and philanthropic work were the factors included in determining the list of noteworthy advisors.
