Job Description

We are looking for an experienced financial service professional to join our Beacon Pointe team as Director of Strategic Integration in our Newport Beach, CA office.  This person would be responsible for managing a team of Project Managers and Associates who integrate all newly acquired teams into Beacon Pointe.  This person would collaborate directly with the Managing Directors, Partners, and department Directors across the firm to expertly map out and execute the integration process all while delivering an exceptional overall experience.  The ideal candidate would have years of experience working in financial services supporting M&A or acquisition efforts, strong operational background, be detail oriented, proven success in coordinating and completing projects, be a self-starter, a strong collaborator, and lead team members.  This role would entail enhancing and documenting processes and procedures and developing new ways to improve our new office onboarding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the M&A team to understand the pipeline and strategically plan for success from due diligence to execution
  • Serve as the bridge between the newly acquired team, the Project Managers and internal and external stakeholders throughout the integration process
  • Lead a team of Project Managers on all new acquisitions from start to finish by partnering with Beacon Pointe internal teams (i.e. Technology, Human Resources, Marketing, etc)
  • Lead cross-functional Strategic Integration meetings, author and distribute regularly scheduled written updates for each deal, and present updates to executive management
  • Lead integration planning and execution efforts, to ensure that we achieve the strategic and operational objectives of each transition
  • Nurture strong stakeholder relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and meet integration objectives and timelines
  • Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures
  • Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations
  • Partners with the COO to plan, direct, control, implement, evaluate, monitor, and forecast a budget for the strategic integration team
  • Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to integration team; for major changes, meets with staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale
  • Leads coordination of efforts among internal departments to produce smoother workflow and effective business processes.
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • Experience in mergers, acquisitions and integration preferred
  • Very strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to take initiative and lead and navigate through ambiguity
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders and cross-functional partners, motivating and collaborating while driving results
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written skills
  • Strong commitment to detail with excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Team oriented approach
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, evolving work environment and able to multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, etc.)
