Bret Caling
Director of Operations
Bret is a Director of Operations in the Beacon Pointe Falls Church, VA office. Bret works closely with the team to deliver high-quality client experience and support the firm’s operational excellence. Bret has more than 12 years of experience in the financial services industry, with expertise in RIA change management, operations, and technology implementation. In his most recent role, Bret led complex technological initiatives for a nationally recognized RIA, helping scale its business from $1B in Assets Under Management to over $4B in just two and a half years. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Principal at Hemington Wealth Management, which joined Beacon Pointe in 2025, overseeing operations, trading, and team culture. Bret graduated from Shepherd University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management. He and his wife, Amber, live in Raleigh, NC, with their two daughters. Outside of the office, Bret enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, coaching sports, and exploring the culinary offerings of the South.
