Ray is a Tax Manager at Beacon Pointe and has extensive experience with corporate and individual tax research, real estate taxation, textile manufacturing, high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurial services, property managers, and professional services clients. Ray began his career with Ernst and Young LLP, working in the Greenville, South Carolina tax department from 1986 through 1995. He gained his CPA certification in 1988 and rose to the position of Tax Manager in 1991. He left E&Y in 1995 to become a principal with Harris & Harris, P.A. from 1995 until 2002. He then began working with Batson Accounting and Tax in 2003, which joined Beacon Pointe in 2023. Ray has four children, who have gone off to college and since moved away, causing him to become a big fan of traveling. Ray is a member of the Greenville Bulldog Club, UGA Alumni Association, and a former treasurer of the Greenville Jaycees. He lives in Upstate South Carolina with his wife and enjoys reading, exercising, and college football.
