Karen earned her BA in Finance with honors from California State University, Fullerton and maintains the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation. Beginning with a college internship, she has spent her entire professional career in the financial services industry and joined Beacon Pointe Advisors in 2011. As a senior wealth advisor, Karen is responsible for managing client relationships for Beacon Pointe’s Private Client Group. Along with Beacon’s Investment Committee Members and Financial Planning Department, as well as other key professionals, Karen is tasked with coordinating all areas of investment and finance to create and implement cohesive life plans for her clients. She serves as Board Director for the Beacon Pointe Women’s Advisory Institute and co-authored Your Dollars, Our Sense: A Fun and Simple Guide to Money Matters, an international best-selling book that has ranked #1 in six different business/finance categories. Karen is also the co-host of Beacon Pointe’s financial planning podcast Your Dollars, Our Sense, helping listeners navigate various life moments and major life events through the lens of personal finance. Over the years, Karen has garnered industry recognitions from InvestmentNews as a 2017 ’40 Under 40′ advisor and most recently, in 2024 as an AdvisorHub ‘Advisor to Watch,’ securing the Top 14 position in the 200 ‘RIAs to Watch’ category ranking. Karen resides in Southern California with her husband and two sons.
