Operations Manager

Kelly Valenzuela is the Operations Manager for Beacon Pointe’s Greenwood Village, Colorado office where she coordinates day-to-day client service activities. Kelly has spent 25 years in the financial services industry with a strong focus on client service and operational excellence. Prior to joining Beacon Pointe, Kelly spent 15 years as the Operations Manager for The Retirement Planning Specialists (which merged with Beacon Pointe in 2021). Before that, she worked in a variety of other roles including stints at Van Kampen Funds (now Invesco) and in the sports disability insurance industry. A native of Houston, Kelly attended Texas State University and has lived in Colorado for 15 years. Outside of the office, she enjoys photography, camping, swimming, live music, and spending time with her daughter and dog in the abundant Colorado sunshine.

Michael Beaulieu, CFP®

Wealth Advisor

Michael Beaulieu is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Wealth Advisor in Beacon Pointe’s Greenwood Village, CO office. Michael helps clients to prepare for and enjoy a secure and comfortable retirement. His recommendations are based on a careful understanding of each client’s specific situation, coupled with thoughtful analysis and an evidence-based approach to retirement planning and investment management. His mission is to simplify the complicated and assist clients with making smart, informed decisions. Michael graduated Cum Laude from Colorado State University’s honors program with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Financial Planning. Prior to joining Beacon Pointe, Michael was an advisor with The Retirement Planning Specialists, and before that, in a team leadership capacity at T. Rowe Price. Outside of the office, Michael enjoys weightlifting, golfing, watching the Denver Nuggets, and spending time with friends and family.

Sean Curley, CFP®

Partner, Managing Director

Sean Curley is a Partner and the Managing Director of Beacon Pointe’s Greenwood Village, CO office. Sean has spent his career helping clients prepare for and enjoy a secure and comfortable retirement in the context of an ongoing, long-term relationship. His recommendations are based on a careful understanding of each client’s specific situation, coupled with thorough analysis and an evidence-based approach to retirement issues and investment management. Prior to joining Beacon Pointe, Sean founded The Retirement Planning Specialists in 2001 (which merged with Beacon Pointe in 2021) and before that was an advisor with Foland, Curley & Associates and American Express Financial Advisors.  Sean is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and graduated from Penn State University, Phi Beta Kappa, with honors, having earned a B.S. in Computer Science, followed by a seven year stretch as a project manager and senior government analyst for American Management Systems in Arlington, VA and Lakewood, CO. He lives in Highlands Ranch, CO with Mary, his wife of 30 years, and their daughter, Erin, when she’s home from college.
