Justin Nelson is a Financial Planner at Beacon Pointe Advisors and is responsible for guiding clients through the financial planning process to determine the best strategies to meet their financial goals. Justin holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The University of Utah. Prior to joining Beacon Pointe, Justin owned his own wealth management practice for over 10 years before selling his business to focus on his true passion: financial planning. He was also a combat veteran who deployed with the Army in Iraq as a Hum-V driver and UAV pilot. During his military service, he was an artillery cannon crew member and later switched to interrogator and was sent to the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA to learn Chinese. Outside of work, Justin enjoys woodworking and BBQ. Justin currently lives in Wichita, KS with his wife and 5 kids that keep him very busy outside of work.
