Growing up, Brandt strived to pursue a career as a professional baseball player but was drawn to finance during his collegiate years. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Financial Management. Since then, Brandt has returned home to the Palm Springs area where he has made his mark in the rapidly growing community.
Brandt embodies the epitome of the Beacon Pointe advisory team with his skill and dedication to both his clients and his business. Specializing in qualified retirement plans – including plan design, implementation and management that help employers and employees reach their retirement savings goals – Brandt has built his business by staying actively engaged in his position. Brandt mentions that “during the big social season of November through April, [he makes] sure [he’s] at everything.”
As a seasoned professional and networker, Brandt has accumulated several successful lessons to live by: don’t take your eye off the ball – stay consistent with the message you put out in the marketplace, always focus on the positive – especially in challenging times, and don’t rely on just one mentor – seek out many role models. “Always talk to successful business people, even outside of the industry,” he said. “You can take a nugget of knowledge from each successful person you interact with.”
Brandt’s passions also stem past the world of Business Finance as he is also very involved with his community serving on the executive board of the Desert Recreation District Foundation, the Advisory Board of The First Tee of Coachella Valley, and the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Brandt fundraises for his local recreation district and recruits young individuals to nonprofit boards.
