Latifah Mirzai has joined Beacon Pointe Advisors’ Denver office as a Client Service Associate. In this role, Mirzai handles new account openings, money transfers, trading and other client requests as they arise.
The daughter of Afghan immigrants, Mirzai was raised in Iran and Malaysia and speaks four languages. She credits her brother for sparking her interest in finance. A senior at Metropolitan State University, Mirzai was also the most recent recipient of the Beacon Pointe MSU Scholarship, which is awarded to finance students with strong academic records. She will receive her degree in May 2022.
Mirzai, who previously worked in the electronics and retail industries, brings vital data analysis, customer service and technical writing skills to her new role with the firm.
“We have no doubt that the same discipline and hard work that made Latifah a successful student will help her flourish in the financial services industry. We are excited to have her on our team,” said Fred Taylor, Beacon Pointe Partner and Managing Director.
Mirzai adds to the Denver team’s diversity, which is a top priority for the firm. Beacon Pointe has 19 female-led wealth advisory teams across the nation and the firm’s corporate leadership team is comprised of more than 50% female representation. Founded in 2011, the Beacon Pointe Women’s Advisory Institute (WAI) provides female clients and their families with peace of mind and the ability to meet their long-term life and legacy goals.
